The two most common U.S. models, the 328i and 335i (2010 model year) get 18/28 and 17/26 mpg city/highway respectively on premium gasoline. I have done a few things, such as FSU, Cam position sensor, and rebuilt axles. The 2 sensors ran me about $50 each, and took maybe 30 mins to do. Very easy and cheap. .
