๐ Bmw E90 330I Common Problems
The two most common U.S. models, the 328i and 335i (2010 model year) get 18/28 and 17/26 mpg city/highway respectively on premium gasoline. Problems: The electronic steering lock is one of the trouble areas mostly in the 2006 and some 2007 models. Initially the yellow or red steering lock warning light might come on and the steering lock can
I checked BMW for recalls on my VIN and they had none, so I replaced the seat sensor with a new one from BMW. The symptoms seemed to go away for about a week then they came back. When we look, the scanner shows the same code and if we look at the live readings, it shows the seat occupancy sensor as being "not initialized".
My understanding is that the electric water pump can fail as the car approaches 100k, which can cost almost $1k. Also, some of the early 330i will experience excessive engine ticking, which requires head replacement. Aside from those two issues, these cars appear to be quite reliable.

E90 - 330i N53 issues So after a couple good trouble free years in my n53, it's now decided it doesn't want to play ball any more. Recently I've been experiencing rough idle and misfire followed by a cel in the mornings after the car has been left standing over night and also when I leave from work after it being parked for 10 hours.
E90 328i N52 Reliability & Common Problems. E90 330i โ N52 Engine. Yet another E9x model running the N52 3.0L straight-six. The E90 330i comes in at 255 horsepower and 221 torque. These were pretty impressive numbers for 2006 from a relatively small naturally aspirated engine. A base 330i tips the scales just over 3,400 pounds.

Check the motor first though cause if the motor shaft is not spinning with torque then it will not move the cog when installed.

Overall, the BMW E90 is a reliable car. It has few significant problems and is relatively easy to maintain. Especially the non-turbocharged 325i, 328i, and 330i models have the N52 BMW inline-6 engine. In addition, some older E90 models approached the quarter-million-mile mark with the proper maintenance schedule and are still going strong.
